Real estate agents required an efficient way to access reliable transaction data for:

  2. Building trust and showcasing expertise to sellers and buyers.

  3. Reducing manual efforts to produce custom reports.

RESULTS:

  • Increased User Satisfaction: Achieved an average satisfaction score of 4.3/5 during usability testing.

  • Adoption & Trust: Reinforced trust in Property Finder as a "know-it-all source", leading to greater adoption by agents.

Research

The goal of the research was to examine:

  1. How agents use market data in their daily processes.

  2. When, how, and why agents incorporate transaction insights into their workflow.

  3. Platforms agents currently rely on and their pain points.

Key Findings:

  • Agents struggle with fragmented tools for managing deals and market data.

  • They need a centralized solution that combines:

    • Real-time trends data

    • Detailed transaction summaries

    • List of active deals and investment opportunities

  • Agents value tools that:

    • Reduce manual reporting processes.

    • Provide actionable insights in a mobile-friendly format.

    • Allow personalization, such as adding logos to reports.

  • Agents highly emphasized the importance of data reliability:

    • Property Monitor is seen as the most reliable due to its comprehensive and up-to-date coverage, while others (like DXB Interact) are viewed as free but limited.

    • Agents preferred tools with a reputation for trusted, validated insights, especially when presenting reports to clients.

Solution

Developed a Transactions Dashboard with:

  • Real-time deal tracking: Agents can monitor progress at each stage.

  • Automated transaction reporting: Streamlined reporting to reduce manual tasks.

  • Integration of market trends and transaction summaries for data-driven insights.

  • Added features:

    • Mortgage and cash filters

    • Tooltips for metrics like average gross yield (with disclaimers for methodology transparency).

    • Option to personalize reports with agency logos and other branding.

Validation

Validated the concept with 10 real estate agents through usability testing.

Key updates based on user feedback:

  1. Added disclaimers for calculation methodologies.

  2. Enhanced filters with mortgage and cash options.

  3. Introduced tooltips to clarify data (e.g., average gross yield).

  4. Simplified reports by focusing on average prices instead of extremes.

  5. Changed CTAs from “Create PDF” to “Create Report” for clarity.

  6. Enabled agents to add personal logos and branding to reports.

Final Product

A professional Transactions Dashboard that:

  1. Provides a centralized platform for real-time deal tracking and reporting.

  2. Integrates market trends and transaction insights for better decision-making.

  3. Streamlines manual processes through automated reporting tools.

  4. Includes features like:
